Online & In-Person Therapy — Hackney E8

Welcome. I’m a psychotherapist based in East London, and I work with individuals and groups.

My practice consists of individual and group psychotherapy. My approach is grounded in existential philosophy and thought, the essence of which is human-hearted and relational. I see the therapeutic process as assisting clients to listen out for what it is they may already know about themselves.

Key to the success of a therapeutic process is the quality of the working relationship, and I aim to provide a relationship wherein a client’s capacity (or difficulty) in saying “yes” to themselves can be understood and thus developed in a meaningful way. Saying “yes” to ourselves can be a life’s work, particularly as we find ourselves in a world that seems to increasingly discourage us from doing so. With this in mind, I welcome long-term/open-ended work with clients.

I also facilitate several psychotherapy groups a week. These groups are long-standing and have developed into significantly established and consistent therapeutic processes. What I see in the group setting is a uniquely profound experience for the clients. In working more explicitly in relation to others, I’ve witnessed clients arrive at significant insight about themselves, in a way that might not have been possible for them in individual work. The group environment is fundamentally collaborative, and it puts us in touch with ourselves through our experience of others.

I wholeheartedly believe in the efficacy of group psychotherapy and if you’d like to know more, please don’t hesitate to get in touch and I can offer my perspective in more detail.

If you are interested in working together, please get in touch and I will get back to you as soon as I can.
